 West Cigarettes are manufactured and sold by Reemtsma, a German tobacco producer owned by the Imperial Tobacco Group. The brand was first introduced in 1981 and was only available in German tobacco shops until 1987. Later, sometime in late 1987, the brand was released for sale in vending machines, supermarkets and stores. West currently is rated as being in the second most popular cigarette in Germany because of its great, smooth taste, flavor and the fact that West cigarettes are reasonably priced making them affordable to almost anyone.
